Rebel Rebel Studio & Lounge has partnered with First Friday Berea to create a unique music-focused internship for girls and non-binary teens - REBEL REBEL SCHOOL FOR GRRRLS (RRSG)! Local high school students will gain hands on experience with event production and promotion, marketing, creative placemaking, community development and more. RRSG will connect them to community, allow them to work with diverse talent, receive mentorship from seasoned producers and music industry professionals, try new things and gain skills enhancing their personal growth and future experiences.
Rebel Rebel Studio & Lounge is Berea's live music venue, co-owned by Ali Blair and Erica Chambers - cultural event producers, entrepreneurs, and community organizers. Their experience and regional network will make this a rich experience for participants.
Important information:
• High school students from Berea Community, Madison Southern, or Homeschool can apply! If you are outside Madison County and interested please apply and we can discuss!
• This is an in-person internship (with Zoom sessions as needed)
• This internship schedule is as follows:
• Total hours: approx. 60 total, mix of on-site and independent work
• Evening Concerts are located at Berea City Park Expansion AKA Berea Skate Park, Chestnut St Pavilion & Tillie Memorial Dog Park
• Interns will plan and produce their own event as a celebration of what they've learned on Friday, September 8th!
• Application deadline is July 7th
• Interviews will start the week of July 4
• Interns will be chosen and notified the week of July 17
• A $500 stipend will be provided to each intern, contigent on partication and attendance

The Levitt AMP Berea Music Series is in it's 6th live season! This 10 concert series builds community featuring the most diverse line up in the area in a family-friendly atmosphere. Concerts are FREE and welcoming for all. The Levitt Foundation's mission is to strengthen the social fabric of America through the power of FREE live music. Berea is one of 33 cities across the country presenting this series.
